Meet MMA Babe Erin McDougall

We recently had the pleasure of speaking with MMA babe Erin "McDoogs" McDougall.  This Canadian beauty does it all when it comes to MMA.  She is an interviewer and host at live events, a journalist, a model for clothing lines and websites and also a fighter.

Outside the cage Erin can be found writing for her very own website, at MMA News Canada, guest hosting with Mitch Ciccarelli on TUF Crap Radio and many other outlets.

When she is not working outside the cage she can often be found inside it training.  What started out as a fitness routine eventually turned into her very first kickboxing victory in 2010 and an amateur MMA debut coming this February 19th at Rumble In The Cage where many notable fighters have started their careers.

This determined lady plans to grow her love of MMA even further in 2011 and beyond.  Her future includes a continued fighting career, growing her interviewing and event work experience and someday do some public relations work for MMA promotions.  Keep your eye on this one MMA world!

For more on Erin check out her official website, her very own photographer Aaron Keeling, her Facebook fan page and also on Twitter

Thank you again for your time Erin and we look forward to big things from you in 2011.

August 2012 MMA Babe of the Month – Vanessa Hanson

Our August 2012 MMA babe of the month is current Strikeforce ring girl and model Vanessa Hanson. This 21 year old stunner is 5’8”, 115 lbs., measures 34-24-35, a mix of Mexican, German and Norwegian ethnicities and calls California home. Vanessa has ring carded for both Strikeforce and UFC, appeared at the UFC Fan Expo and festivities and featured in a recent issue of Fight! Magazine. We recently caught up with Vanessa for the interview below as our August 2012 MMA babe of the month.

How did you get into the world of MMA?

-Last Summer I won the Transworld Surf/UFC Model search at the US open. I got a chance to be the guest octagon girl for UFC 136 and the rest is history!

What were you doing before you became an MMA ring girl and model?

-I was a college student. I started modeling around the age of 19-20.

Who are your favorite MMA fighters?

-I've definitely enjoyed watching Ronda Rousey fight! She's a babe and a bad ass.

What are the strangest and sweetest comments MMA fans have said to you?

-When I was doing a lap around the octagon, someone shouted at me, "I want you to have my abortion!" Nothing thus far as topped that lol.

What would your fight name be if you were a fighter? Vanessa "?" Hanson

-Hmm maybe Vanessa the Vamp? I have a definite obsession with vampires and anything supernatural. I love how naturally sexy and enticing they are.

What is something most people don't know about you?

-I'm a huge tom-boy and always have been. I'd gladly drink beer and play video games over watching chick flicks and drinking wine or shopping.

What are your hobbies and how do you spend your free time?

-I'm a giant foodie. I love trying new foods whether it's eating at different restaurants or cooking new meals. I'm also a big outdoors person. I love going camping and hiking and being near the water. I enjoy the simple things in life most.

Are you single?

-Not currently!

What do you look for in a guy?

-I look for a guy with a good head on his shoulders. He has to be smart and care about expanding his mind. He has to be open-minded and respectful of other people’s views and beliefs. He has to be able to laugh at himself and not take things too seriously. He has to be adventuress and up for trying new things with me!

What are your turn-ons?

-Humility, intelligence, ambition, spontaneity and height!

What are your turnoffs?

-Cigarette smokers, guys that are judgmental, pretty boys, guys with big egos and laziness.

What would you say is your best feature?

-I get the most compliments on my legs, but I personally enjoy my dimples. I usually forget I even have them until someone points them out.

What are your future plans or dreams in life?

-I would love to model for as long as possible. It has taken me so many places and has been such a great experience so far. After, I’d like to do something a lot more mellow like become a writer or therapist. I'd definitely like to do something engaging or creative my whole life.

Any special shout outs or thank you's?

-I'd like to say thank you to the whole MMA world in general! Thank you to all of my fans! Thank you for letting me be part of such a fun sport and world!

Thank you too for your time Vanessa and we hope to continue seeing you involved with MMA for a long time to come. For the latest on Vanessa please visit her Facebook and Twitter pages.

A Korean With Crazy Abs And Dance Moves

So I have featured her before as Jumi Kim or in Korean:

Translating Korean to find a name is a very complicated and hit and miss thing, so if any Korean figure models with English skills want to help me out that would be much appreciated.

Anyway lets get to the photos and a little extra after a bit of research.

You can follow her on Instagram @jjumi111,

Are there any Fitness Competitors from Asia that you follow? Let me know in the comments.

5 Athletic Actresses

To a greater or lesser degree lots of actresses are fit much like male actors when they are required to for the role. We can talk about the inherent sexism of women to be at peak fitness for roles while men can gain weight for character roles. These are some of the most athletic actresses around who are not afraid of showing a little muscle and moving away from the former ideal of just skinny. At least that's how I think of it.

Gina Carano

Caity Lotz

Ronda Rousey

Kaley Cuoco

Michelle Rodriguez

YAY FOLLOWERS

I don't think I have mentioned the fact that we actually have followers on this blog but it is certainly something I am proud of. We have three followers! OK not a huge following but the longest journey begins with a single step. So for you followers out there consider this a HUGE THANK YOU, for investing enough time in the reading of this blog to register your interest.

So anyway on to this post and its subject, one young lady I dub simply the Aussie with the Abs. You may know her from Home and Away if you're from the UK or Oz or Blue Streak 2 and Step Up 3D. Yeah I know she is a celebrity but I will discuss that aspect later. What cannot be denied is her body and what she must endure to keep it like that. We all know that some celebs bulk up for roles and then let it slide but she just seems to stay this way. Anyway on to the pictures.

Thanks to IMDB for these pics that just show a hint of Sharni and that amazing body.

I hope you guys like this post as I am thinking of sprinkling in some more celebrities along with the girls I think we all prefer non celebs but variety is good and also helps to keep the blog supplied with content. Anyway I hope the holiday season finds you fine people well I'm sequestered in my place with a metaphorical pile of audiobooks to get through.

Check her out

Fitness model and video girl Ragini Patel I found her doing random research and thought she was more than worth inclusion here. So have a look and see what you think, I for one am rather impressed.

Strikeforce Ring Babe Brittany Kirk

Strikeforce has a tendency to change its lineup of ring babes quite often but one noticeable regular in 2010 was Brittany Kirk.  Originally from the east coast Brittany now resides in California.  This 5'4" curvy brunette certainly turns heads when gracing the cage and in her many photo shoots as seen above.  Hopefully we will see more of Brittany in 2011.

Interview Special: KYLIE MARSH

Hello and welcome to Kylie Marsh, Fitness Model and Personal Trainer and let me please take this time to thank you for volunteering some of your time to answer some questions for our valued readers. We hope you will enjoy talking to us here at Sexy Female Abs.

How old are you?23
When did you start working out and why?A year ago I was getting out of a bad relationship. I had always been insecure about the way i looked, so I decided to make a change.
Do you do any sports?I know this surprises people all the time, but no. I've actually never really played sports seriously.
Tell us about your regular workout routine? My regular routine involves typically a 30 min morning cardio followed by an hour of weight lifting. I usually lift 3-4 sets of 12 pretty heavy. I enjoy everything from standard Olympic lifts to more complex free weight moves. I typically separate my days by body part, legs, back, shoulders, etc. Then i finish with a second round of cardio sometime later that day.

Can you tell us about your accomplishments as a figure model? My biggest accomplishments have been competing in the NPC. I have competed in 4 shows, including the National Championships where i took 4th place in my height class. As far as the modeling, well that's about to come.
Any actor/actresses physiques that you admire? Not really. Most of my favorite physiques have been other competitors or fitness models. I like a more built physique and a lot of actors and actresses are lean but not muscular.
Does your training regime leave you enough time for leisure such as non-athletic hobbies, going out etc? If so what else do you like to do?My training does take up a lot of time. I spend nearly two hours a day, six days a week not including food prep. But of course there's always more time. I'm a full time student, personal trainer and I always find time for leisure. I have recently fallen in love with racquetball.

Have you got any favourite bands and if so who are they?I'm a big Beyonce fan. I cant help it. I love hip hop and rap. I like my girl power artists like Ciara and Iggy Azeala, and even Yo Gotti, Future, and Childish Gambino.
Do you have any favourite TV shows?I absolutely love American Horror Story, though recently I have been really into Lilyhammer.
Those days when you may not be ill or injured but just don’t want to train what is it that motivates you to do it anyway? The desire to achieve. I realize that my goals are so big that everyday counts. I never want to look back and regret one day where I didn't train, or I didn't train hard enough. I keep my goals posted on my mirror and I remind myself everyday. That's what motivates me.
